Obama Under Fire…What?

I didn't hear the interview Obama did on 60 Minutes, as I was out stimulating the economy having dinner with my family. I must say that the $50 I paid for dinner was $50 more than economic stimulation than Obamulus von Porkulus has generated to date.

As I watched Obama, I thought to myself, "Don't you love it when Obama tries to prove people wrong?"

His first mistake was doing this interview without his handy teleprompter. He went "naked" because he likely read a poll that said Americans feel that he relies too much on his teleprompter. This interview proved that Obama shouldn't rely on polls, because this interview was a train wreck for him, and a bonanza for 60 Minutes!

For those who haven't seen the interview, trust me when I tell you Obama really needed his trusty friend the teleprompter…in a big way. He handled this interview with all the finesse of an ice-skating pig.

Neck askew, I gazed up at the TV from my booth in the restaurant to see Obama pimping his latest financial atrocity, the $3.6T budget in an interview with Steve Kroft. Kroft threw him a few softballs like the AIG bonuses, and Obama again confirmed Geithner's eventual departure by "backing him 100%".

But I could hardly believe my eyes, when the discussion turned to the economy and the latest budget figures, and I read Kroft's [closed captioned] comments and questions to Obama on the budget:

"You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, 'I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—' How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . ." Kroft asked at one point.

"Are you punch-drunk?" Kroft said.

Obama was floored, but he tried to laugh it off. His staff had set this interview up as a series of softballs, and Kroft alludes to Obama as being punch drunk boxer. Talk about an insult.

I'd say that Kroft was more the true pugilist in this interview, and he took off the "kid gloves". He then commenced to giving Obama, what my grandmother would call, "an old-fashioned butt whoopin'".

I still keep wondering when the so-called elitists who voted for Obama will admit that they are more stupid than the Sodomites who voted for him. At least we know the Sodomites are stupid. At this point, any belief in this man is just plain delusion.

Based on the Tonight Show interview and this one, I can hardly wait to see what fodder we get from his upcoming European trip. He's likely to offend at least four nations, two ethnic groups, and three other organizations. His safety net is he can always fall back on bashing America. And there is that catchphrase of "I inherited this mess."

Here's the wrap:

This interview is the first sign of life of the mainstream media may becoming off life-support. They apparently have awakened, and dare I say…regained their mother-lovin' sanity.

I have little doubt this 60 Minutes episode will be the highest rated show during its timeslot. But more importantly this story will grow legs, and start running faster than Usain Bolt.

Woe unto Obama, when the media figures out that they can get more revenue with the truth about him, than they can goo-goo gagaing over him. You heard it hear...

That's my rant!

He looks tired in the one photo, and do I detect a hint of gray hair??
I don't think he's handling the pressure very well.
What if this bozo comes unglued in 6~12~18 months?
BTW....he didn't "inherit this mess"....he actively campaigned for it.
Guess what? You wanted it, YOU GOT IT!

drjim - So true! He GOT it! Deal with it!

Hmm. I think Obama rode right over the "punch drunk" thing. Kroft wasn't out to get Obama. He wants future interviews.

When they asked him about the puppy for his children he said, Uh, yup, that was just a campaign promise, yuk yuk, oh puke puke. The man is still amazing me, he is the epitome of a sociopath. Please let the black hole of reason swallow up this man soon.

Most of us had a kid like Obama in our neighborhoods as we grew up. He was the goofy looking one who was always smiling and excited about some nutty idea that he was trying to talk you into. You laughed and tolerated him as you wondered what would become of him.

The Black Sphere said...

@LadyJulie - SO true! A sociopath!

WebSmith, again another "flashback" comment! Couldn't stand that kid!

Kevin,
I knew you wouldn't let a good MSM "butt whoppin'" go without notice.

Even my liberal girl friend did not want to watch him. She said "enough already. Get back to work." DVR's are great for watching stuff your girl does not want to!

Steve Kroft was the MSM sacrificial lamb. They all have been "goo goo gaga" and now they wanted to see if anyone would dare call him on the carpet without his trusty sidekick, Mr. Teleprompter.

Hey that gives me an idea for Halloween. I will go as Obama's teleprompter. Maybe even start selling toy Mr. Teleprompter's through Toys R Us and Walmart. Anyone got an Asian contact in manufacturing since I wouldn't want to stimulate this economy with any job creation since only government is allowed to do that.

Sir RonB

The Black Sphere said...

SirRonB you cracked me up. Kroft the sacrificial lamb, or the tip of the spear?

Contacts in Asia...classic!

Well, before we start cheering on the media waking up to BO, lets see if this man still has his job in a week or two. He really made BO look foolish (not that it's hard to do) and really deviated from the softball questions he was suppose to ask I'm sure. I would love to be a fly on the wall in the white house after that interview.

After watching this brain twisting nonscense, I was left wonder what the heck happened. I was watching at my mother's house, a die hard liberal, and she lost interest and stopped watching while the remaining three conservatives (me, my wife, and my mom's boyfriend of 22 years) look at each other and were agasp that a journalist actually stood up to him after all his double talking especially about Iran.

The economy was double taking enough, but his BS about Iran was a joke. We need to have a policy to have the muslim world respect and love us. Well, that means conversion or death and he knows it. His explanation that Cheny should shut up because his didn't work while he'll get them to love us because Bush's policy brought about hate against America. Hey numbnuts, they still do and will no matter what BS you throw at them. Even the reporter couldn't believe it.

I can hope the media has waken up, but it's going to be the White House's reaction we should be watching. This man doesn't like being told no and being made a fool of (though he does a good job of it himself) and I don't think he'll take this sitting down.

WOW, is that really what Obama looked like during the interview? That's not photoshopped? Man, he looks exhausted. He's aged about 10 years already! He may not make the four years at this rate!

Funny about the Barney Frank comparison.

Kevin,

When I read your posts it is scary. It is like we share a brain. ;-) You know I should have watched the interview but I had just finished eating and didn't want to throw up. From what I am hearing the interviewer hit him pretty hard. It's about time someone in the main stream media sobered up from the Obama kool-aid. I wonder how long it is going to take for the rest of America to pull their heads out of their arses?

Bill

The Black Sphere said...

@Bill - America will get it last, at least the kool-aid drinkers won't get it until last. Won't matter, because Obama will show enough signs of weakness that the hyenas he runs with will just eat him.

Dirk said...

Wow! I didn't see this, but wish I had. It's really surprising about the media turnaround, but as you said, it's all about the money. Plus I'm seeing a lot of growing dissention out there among Obama supporters. It's their own fault for not paying attention to what he was saying during his campaign. He was quite clear about it, but many were too caught up in the euphoria. & now they got it. I think we'll see a major shift in support for Obama by the end of this year.

I know God forbid that anyone question Obama, it would be horrible is someone asked him a real question, and he made himself look like a fool.

ruffedge said...

Obama actually got a hardball interview from the MSM? No kidding. I just figured that the interview was going to be propagandized promotion of administration policies all under the guise of objective journalism. it's good to hear that I've been proved wrong.

The Black Sphere said...

@ruffedge - Yes, be sure to catch that one. If you know how much I don't like listening to Obama, you know it's a MUST see!

Anonymous said...

Pretty sad that this interview is "hardball-ish." How about we get a real hardball interview with the guy...he wouldn't last 6 minutes.

I love Barney Fife...can we compare him to someone else please??? :)

Good job as always!

The Black Sphere said...

Hey Melissa, this was pretty hardball, at least as far as all other interviews have gone. Check it out.

I like Barney too, but somebody had to sacrifice!

..Neck askewed... forked poised to shovel a juicy piece of meatloaf into my mouth.., Kev, this is how I pictured you sitting in that booth! He, He, He, best to enjoy being able to eat out while we still can.
Obama is going to be toast this time next year, while we will be looking for bread to make toast. Keep up the satire, you make me laugh, even when I don't want to.
BWT-how come uptownsteve never blogs on your site but yet makes a point out of blogging on CBW. I would like to see him debate you as much as he does CBW. LOL

Kevin, I beg to differ with you on this, but the media does not care about revenue. In the face of losing thousands of newspaper jobs and evening news show viewers for years, there has been no indication they recognize the problem as their liberal bias. Their mantra is “It’s the internet, dummy!”

My rant and I am sticking with it!

The Black Sphere said...

They care. Most are shifting to digital media in hopes of saving themselves, and their complexions will change dramatically over the next few years. They want to survive, but won't in the present format. Like most liberal companies, they didn't read the "tea leave"!

I understand some are starting local news internet sites after getting their pink slips. That just may help them understand the wonders of capitalism. (Do you have access to the Limbaugh Letter? It recently had an interview with Bernie Goldberg.)
