Obama “Saves” Jobs – Again

AP reported that we lost "just" 345,000 jobs in May. If you were one of the people who lost one of those jobs, I suggest that you might not be taking it quite so cavalierly?

I get a chuckle from the lamestream media when they spin the idea of losing 345,000. Well it is a lot less than the 504,000 the previous month! Put on a happy face, dangit! We are learning to measure quite differently in The Era of Brown Underwear.

One can only imagine what the headlines would be if we were in a Bush administration. What's that, Chicken Little?

Do you really need more evidence about the snakelike nature of Obama, when he gives us the term "saved," as part of job "creation?" Talk about a slickster selling elixir! He pisses on us, then tells us it's raining.

I was under the mistaken idea that adding jobs was good news, not losing jobs. However, in the lexicon of Obama, "save" is the new "add!" And in the lamestream media, a loss is really a win!

504,000 jobs losses in April, 345,000 jobs losses in May, unemployment at 9.4% (they said it would top off at 8%), over 6,000,000 Americans out of work—2.9M of those jobs this year!—and here is what Obama said in Reuters:

"…it[stimulus] created or saved 150,000 in the first 100 days. Republicans questioned the figure and noted that Biden said on May 13 over 150,000 jobs had been saved or created in the act's first 77 days."

Don't let the truth be a deterrent to Obama's agenda. Obama believes that if he keeps saying it, eventually people will believe it. Unemployment has risen from 6% under Bush to over 9.4% under Obama, but he has "saved" jobs! Incredulous— "Change we can be brainwashed to believe in."

I've stopped asking when Americans who voted for Obama will either wake up from their comas or get back on the meds. It has simply become a rhetorical question and quite redundant. However it is high time that those of us who were never entranced by Obama's "words" start really calling him out more vigorously on his blatant lying.

But there is good news coming, as report by the Wall Street Journal put it, and I must say I had blogged about this earlier as well:

"[Obama] announced he was ramping up some of the stimulus spending so he could "save or create" an additional 600,000 jobs this summer. These numbers come in the context of an earlier Obama promise that his recovery plan will "save or create three to four million jobs over the next two years."

At this rate, between creating and saving jobs, we will have all of America working, as well as our illegals, and finally reached what Marx described as Utopia—also known as communism. Because folks at this rate of job "saving," there will be no private sector jobs left to save.

Here the wrap:

Isn't every job 'not lost' technically saved? That being the case, I suggest we begin working backwards on ObamaMath.

To do this we chronicle all the jobs that are presently "saved," which are all the jobs in America. Then as the job numbers are reported, we count those that Obama has "unsaved."

For example in March, Obama would have saved 40,000,000 jobs, of which 504,000 of them became "unsaved" in April. Then another 345,000 became unsaved in May, and so on.

By my count, Obama has "unsaved" 2.9M jobs, since he took over. This way, all of us who have jobs left will know who to thank. The better question may be how Americans will not want to thank The Big Zero. Best guess is 9.4% of Americans and counting.

That's my rant!

How do you count "Saved" jobs when Obama butchered jobs at GM and Chrysler dealerships? His Car Tsar won't talk to congress or the press. Government is one of the few segments that is growing yet jobs are lost in greater numbers than is being created.Don't count on Obama being on the level!

So because I haven't lost my job, it's been saved?

I am so grateful.

Dominque said...

How does one "save" jobs when Chrysler is shutting down over 800 dealerships? multiply that by 10 to be safe and we have another whopping 8,000 people out of jobs!

Why people are listening to this man or believing him is just amazing to me!

This guy (Obama) should be in jail for what he is doing to our country!

P. S. I get so frustrated with these insane antics! Errr!

BTW - Your book is on my "to buy list." I am waiting for the arrival of my first grand-child before I buy it as I just don't have the time at the moment to read it because we are busy preparing for the arrival of my daughter's daughter!

I do intend to purchase it and read it. I will let you know what I think!

Hmm, created or saved 150,000 in the first 100 days, but lost 1.6 million jobs over the same time period. Or 16,000 jobs lost per day.
He spent over $44 billion to "save or create" those supposed 150,000 jobs. You can do the math per job on that. Just give me my 293,333 and I'll create my own stimulus.
If Obama was running a business in the public sector and those numbers were revenue he would have been out the door long ago.
Would you want this man as CEO of your company? It becomes more clear every passing day that Obama has no idea how economics work.
Also, 12.000 of those jobs are temp youth summer jobs. $6.4 million is going to Cleveland to fund 7,000 teen jobs.
Now he wants ti spend even more and at a faster rate than before. In all likelihood this will also open the door for even more corruption since I doubt even the best oversight system could stay caught up on that amount of money going in so many different directions.
And that's my rant. ;)

What is the next best thing to impeachment? (I'm serious)

While he has been saving and/or creating jobs here, he has ordered military and FBI officials in Afghanistan to start reading Miranda rights to captured terrorists. I hope I am just having a nightmare, if not, we are in deep doo doo.

In my mind "unsaved" = "lost", therefore Obama lost 2.9 million jobs. If they really want to play that game...

Hey Kev:

I'm applying Obamanomics to my life and am really liking the results!

I weighed myself today and at first, I was a little depressed. I was three pounds more than I was last week. But after applying Obama's formula, I realized I've really LOST a pound because I didn't eat near as much as I wanted to!

The Stimulus was supposed to hold Unemployment at 8% and currently we are at 9.4% unemployment so what exactly got saved by Obama? The country is 1.4 % above projections. That is a whole lot of babies going hungry waiting for Obama to give them a few coins, when Mom and Dad should be doing the feeding themselves!

The Black Sphere said...

@Cheryl - You GET it!

I was just saying to myself today that the private industry jobs aren't going to exist on the same levels by this time next year. Lets us not forget the private industries employ over 70% of the population.
Soon very soon there will be a health emergency where the government will have to take over food production and distribution. Chevez did it to ConArg, kicking them out of the country, thus taking over the production and distribution of food.
We don't have to have a car to drive, cause we won't have a job, don't have a job, no money for food, and here comes the government giving out coupons for food rations.
Walmart knows its coming, they are starting to limit the amount of certain foods you can purchase at one time, and when it runs out the stockers tell you when the next truck is coming. My concern is, what if the truck doesn't come, what then? Stock up now while you can, people.

My, the math that my education left out. Seems obama is using something we call isomorphanism. A function that relates to another math model. With BO's Isomorphism, his function is -x. So all losses are gains and all gains are losses. It's really quite simple. Only reality doesn't work that way.

Another element that's not being considered that I'm learning all too well: Underemployment. How many jobs have cut pay or hours. Right now I'm fighting just to keep enough hours to make enough to make ends meet. Since this job isn't by definition lost, but my hours and income has gone down 25%, does that mean I gained 75%? This man is completely stupid and I know the math he's using, and it's not good for our economic future. I think the bottem of this model has only one endgame: slavery.

So much for that Oxidental and Harvard education. Math not being taught there, huh!

When I took Advanced Algebra and Trig we learned to use what we called imaginary numbers, ie the square roots of negatives. Seems the Obama is using the same math. Problem is that imaginary numbers are mostly hypothetical

For the Dummycrats a loss can still bre put in the win column, if they word it just right, there was an election and the Dem's lost but the called a win because they did not lose as bad as they thought they would. As for those youth jobs, good lets teach them early about how much they will not make due to the spending by the Fools on the hill

My...my...my...it appears a nerve has been touched in the conservative blogosphere. After 13 months of unrelenting monthly increases in the jobless rate under Bush, Obama and the Dems have managed to stem the tide in less than a year. See you folks in 2010.

Exactly. They're looking for the tumbleweeds to start blowing through the shop where my husband works, while the company is doing all they can to avoid shutting it down.

So there are furloughs - every Friday and a whole week here and there. Everybody got a pay cut. Good thing "O" saved their jobs!

Anonymous - You twit. Bush presided over 6 years of revenue growth and job growth. Don't you get that it wasn't until the Dems took over Congress in 2007 the country went downhill? You libs love to blame Bush for everything but you never can back up your rants with factual data. Check out the economic indicators for those years and the reports from the Congressional Office of Budget before you blog these lies. So typically liberal: pointing fingers, yet always WRONG!

I'm amazed that the media is so complacent in this boondoggle. They've been hurt by the loss of jobs as much as many other professions. Maybe my amazement is rooted in the unrealistic belief that many in the media are people instead of the dumpster diving rodents they so often portray.

Kevin-Where does one begin with Odumbos rosey outlook on job creation and so called jobs being saved?
First off how does one EVER know when they have SAVED a job?it's not like the Labor Dept.use's a statistical measurement to go and look at.Of course Odumbo's fancy semantic use of SAVE is nothing more then smoke and mirrors.
AS for only loosing 300,000plus jobs being a good thing,it is perhaps only so since there are NO more jobs of signifcance to have loss.let's see how the numbers measure up in August when the REAL numbers for those car dealerships and laid off UAW workers hit us.
Right now Odimwit is going to use Temp. summer jobs for highschoolers and college kids to pad his numbers!
As for the Dimwits that voted for this dolt coming out of their stupper, one only need to look at those in WWII Germany who said."When they came for the Jews I did'nt care, for I was not a Jew,when they came for the Gypsies I did'nt care I was not a Gypsy, when they came for the Christians I did'nt care,I was not A Christian,When they came for me for no reason I cared."
