Gays Get Their Month

If you like the blog, please consider ordering a copy of The Big Black Lie, (see the button to your left!) my newly published book. It will give you insight as to why I enjoy pimp-slapping liberals on a daily basis. Speaking of pimps, enjoy my latest musing below:

Obama has deemed June 2009 "Lesbian Gay Bi-Sexual Tran-Gender (LGBT) month." And just in time for summer! I am not gay. However on behalf of gay blacks, I want to thank Obama for honoring this group with now TWO months out of the twelve.

How good it must feel for Obama to tell "Americans" of any ilk, that they can have a month. Personally I like having all the months to be an America—not just my designated one.

Further, if I had any choice in the matter, I would not have picked February anyway. It was as if the meddling, racist Democrats, who were attempting to make up for their racist past said, "Let's give blacks Feb. It's the shortest month!" [Belly-laugh by all racist Democrats who came up with this one]. Besides, February is a cold month, and blacks really don't like the cold. We are warm weather people. Think Orlando, not Green Bay. So I would have opted for a spring or summer month. Perhaps May—it has 31 days!

Before my black audience gets all in an uproar over the LBGT getting June, I should stress that they only get it for one year, as Obama states here on the official White House site:

"NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2009 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month."

So LBGT, I suggest you 'git while the gitting is good," and enjoy your month. After this year, June is back up for grabs—on the open market as it were.

But if you think you get to vote on who will get June next year, you might be disappointed. In the spirit of transparency of the Obama administration—the most transparent administration in the history of America—you will not get a "look-see" at the potential suitors for the month of Jun—just like this year. Nevertheless, I do have it on good authority that the jihadists are the front runners for next year—they will likely hold June through 2012.

Obama lists all that he has done for LGBTs, most of which already have existing protections for LBGTs:

"…hate crimes laws, supporting civil unions and Federal rights for LGBT couples, outlawing discrimination in the workplace, ensuring adoption rights, and ending the existing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy…"

I can see next year's declaration for the jihadists:

"…I have ended harsh interrogations, eradicated the United States Military, instituted Sharia law, and kissed the hand of a Saudi sheik, and taken America's protection from Israel…"

I like that Obama included "bi-sexual" in this edict. It sort of provides that "in" clause for us heterosexuals who might want to muscle in on June—in case you have a bad month elsewhere.

Here's the wrap:

When the government starts giving you rights that you really don't need or making "token" gestures, you have reached rock bottom. The LBGT has indeed taken a step backwards, though they likely won't see it this way.

If blacks were smart, we would reject February as "Black History Month," and just take the year! As I said earlier, every month is history month—black or otherwise. Not to mention, if blacks were serious about Black History Month, they would get the truth out about racist Democrats, and stop voting like idiots.

As for Obama's proclamation, the transparency is obvious—solidifying votes. And LBGT will fall for it. So Obama will take all their money (and they can earn!), and turn the country over to people who would persecute them…but they can have a token month, just like blacks.

Unlike my gay, black brethren, I think I will just keep all twelve of my months. I like the way The Declaration of Independence put it: Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Works for me, as does The Constitution--at least as long as we are still allowed to have The Constitutionsort of.

That's my rant!

As the old adage says, "Divide and conquer". Tribalism is dangerous as it separates us into unecessary groupings, many of which have no real biological basis (there are no such things as differing human "races", we all share the same genetic code at somewhere around 99.7% identical). Tribalism makes us weak, and having special months for groups only promotes tribalism.

The Black Sphere said...

@A. Patrick - Thanks much!

The Black Sphere said...

@Justin - I agree! Thanks for the comment!

FYI, a slight correction: "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is in the Declaration of Independence. Other than that, great article.

The Black Sphere said...

@Anon - Thanks for the correction. It's been changed. If you only knew how fast my life moves. BTW I'd fire my "fact checker" and editor if it wasn't me!

I was in the check out line at the grocery store a couple of days ago and in the rack by the register one of the tabloids or magazines had the headline "Obama's Gay Secret" with a picture of him looking kind of swishy. I guess I should have bought a copy to see the truth about the Pres.

Hey, where's my fat ole lady monogamist month. I want a month. I deserve a month by golly.

See what happens when you don't vote for the guy, he just ignores ya.

Beyond-The-Spectrum said...

The sharp, witty commentary of your article notwithstanding, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that while I personally think homosexuality is a mis-wiring of genetic structure(in the same vein as other genetic-based abonormalities), gay people are hardly going anywhere in so far as organizing and calling for equal opportunity (where, it should not be extended to traditional marriage). Perhaps a compromise is needed...legal recognition of civil unions (for the sake of community property), while gay people need to recognize that someone's sexual preference does not afford spcial dispensation under the legal system.

The Black Sphere said...

@Dub - Word is Obama was on the DL for a bit.

The Black Sphere said...

@Beyond - Civil unions are available in most states. I think they should be in all. Leave marriage alone!

Richie said...

Sure, Obama's trying to get votes from LGBT voters but you're pretty ignorant if you think this is something new in politics.

Bush threatened to ban gay marriage in his 2000 campaign in order to get homophobes and bigots on his side. What did he do once he got in office? Nothing. This is just one example.

Obviously you're looking for ANY opportunity to slam the President - no matter how ridiculous your argument.

Why do Republicans have racists, bigots, the uneducated and anti-intellectuals on their side? Because they always speak out their ass, without a true sense of history.

The Black Sphere said...

@Richie - No Bush didn't have an agenda. He said how he felt about things upfront, votes be danged.

You need a history lesson, my KKK loving racist Democrat! What will you do when you find out how ignorant you have been you WHOLE life? Committing suicide is an option!

Ron B said...

I won't debate the gay issue here. I find it strange that gays/lesbians/transgenders all say that they are born this way yet turn around and say that they should not be discriminated against because of their sexual preference. How about you should not be discriminated against, period? If it is a preference then you are not born that way and if you are born that way then you don't have a preference. I know preference is what you want to call it but I intentionally left out the bisexuals because what do they do, wake up each morning and decide! Anyway. Good article.

I just want October for my "handsome black conservative men dating sexy liberal women month." Obama needs to recognize, since he is giving away special months! And yes there are some sexy liberal women. They are really conservatives cloaked in liberalism. Just need to crack their shell. Be careful because my momma told me that beauty is only skin deep but ugly is to the bone! Crack an ugly shell and you get what you get!

Kevin - The end goal of the Obamanation is collectivism. Anything that furthers that aim is paramount. Getting people coralled into sub-groups with different identities, not seeing themselves as individuals is the most important thing for him to do. From here, all he and the one-party rule does is get these coralled groups riled up on their specific ideals (redress, LGBT, race-phobic racists, entitlemant mentalitists, etc), and they have their vote and money into perpetuity....

The Black Sphere said...

@Ron - Great discussion. You should blog on that Bro!

Excellent article that reminded me of someone I knew once. I appreciate it when something stirs those memories just a little.

You know the world or at least our little corner of America is a bit warped and heedless of reality when Rodney King in a very audibly sincere moment asks if everyone can get along and it gets turned into a joke. I heard it in his voice and then I heard everyone of every color just laughing.

Have people become so numb to empathy that they can't even see what they themselves are being hurt by?

The Black Sphere said...

@suitepotato - I just don't think of Rodney King's comment quite like that. Glad the blog stirred something in you, however. Hopefully good?! My book will likely be right up your alley!

Well, obviously, Twinks, the "homophobes" were *also* "born that way" and therefore ... what? You can do this. Come on. It's your "argument;" what follows?

Oh?! Suddenly it doesn't follow? Why is that? What should I beleive it follows in the first place when you don't believe it follows in the second?

Back in the 80s when 'diversity' was introduced into my company, I quietly raised my hand and asked our African American group leader..
WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?????
Why are we showing/celebrating differences in each other? Why are we not trying to show how each of us is the same? '...oh well we have major differences in the way we do things, live, etc...,' he said.
Altho I attempted to push the same but different button ala 'hath not a Jew eyes...' he wasn't buying it...

@Da Sicilian - Oh something was sold my Jewish friend, and you, like many others bought it. You see, when all that racial stuff happens in companies, then you must shift to "liberal" tactics. Inform HR that you TOO "...feel the sting of racial discrimination, and behalf of all [insert culture here], you are requesting assistance." Liberals like to meddle, (they call it help). They will pick up a banner for you then. But if you act empowered in ANY way, then forget it!

Here's a joke for ya'll. It speaks for me. Kevin, keep up the good work.

Lesbian Cowboy Joke

An old cowboy sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. As he sat sipping his drink, a young woman sat down next to him. She turned to the cowboy and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?"

He replied, "Well, I've spent my whole life, breaking colts, working cows, going to rodeos, fixing fences, pulling calves, bailing hay, doctoring calves, cleaning my barn, fixing flats, working on tractors, and feeding my dogs, so I guess I am a cowboy."

She said, "I'm a lesbian. I spend my whole day thinking about women. As soon as I get up in the morning, I think about women. When I shower, I think about women. When I watch TV, I think about women. I even think about women when I eat. It seems that everything makes me think of women."

The two sat sipping in silence.

A little while later, a man sat down on the other side of the old cowboy and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?"

He replied, "I always thought I was, but I just found out I'm a lesbian."

Hi Kevin, A very good friend, who is a kindred conservative soul, and co-worker shared your blog with me yesterday. I think you are fabulous! You are truly a breath of fresh air and I've added your blog to my favorites to keep up with your posts.

I have to share with you a brief story of a friend I have on my Facebook regarding LGBT month...she posted how excited she felt the country had moved forward because the One had made June LGBT month and one of her friends commented 'do the gays really need a month...' Well, as you can imagine, in a typical liberal facisim response, you could practically hear her yell 'Absolutely gay pride month is something to celebrate!!..I would have thought you were more evolved than that. Or at least diplomatic enough to keep your intolerance hidden." WTH?? Well so nice to see the libs cornered the market to be the only ones who can express their intolerance, while rest of us need to keep OUR intolerance hidden. Geesh! Drives me nuts!

Thank goodness for you Kevin. Looking forward to keeping up with your blogs.

The Black Sphere said...

I went to a majority white school (I think it was 5% black). Black History Month made most of those kids mad because a lot of people focused on bugging them about stuff all month; some in an attempt to be culturally/racially sensitive, and some of it was giving them grief for having a history month.

Wonder if this gay month will do the same thing for homosexual kids in schools...

Deb, Kevin

I've always heard the saying "headin for hell in a hand basket" and used it but i love the new version "the world had gone to hell in a jet-powered hand basket". Recently a friend and i were talking about events and he mentioned the old saying to which i replied "huh, we're already there, we're justing looking for a parking spot". All of this just reminded me of an old song by Merle Haggard - "We're rolling down hill like a snow ball headed for hell". That's my rant.
