Obama Protects Citizenry

Be sure to check out my book The BIG Black Lie I think you will find it is a "must have" in every conservative's collection.  I appreciate the support!

The financial institutions have done nothing wrong, except take advantage of the rules that Obama and his crooked Democrat cronies allowed to be put in place.  Yet Obama is determined to make the financial industry the Boogeyman in this “crisis,” and to legislate more socialism.

Promoting even more massive government, Obama is proposing new protection from Capitalism for us stupid citizens, as Obama put itto tamp down the kind of deceptive lending practices and complicated contracts he said often hurt consumers.” So what do we get for our $3.6T and counting—the Consumer Financial Protection Agency.

By 2012 this agency will consist of around 100,000 people sitting around playing Dominoes and watching reruns of The Jeffersons all day—at taxpayers’ expense.  However, if we must have protection, I suggest the first target of this new agency be the US Government’s own Internal Revenue Service.  They certainly qualify, per Obama’s comment.  The IRS takes our money in advance and puts it in an account, supposedly for us.  RightRead more here...

Gee, I wonder why Obama won't turn big brother's eye inward. If he was only giving our governmen agencies as much scrutiny and attention as he's giving the private sector.

And what about all those laws we already have around credit card and other contracts? A contract can be voided if it is so atrocious as to be considered unconcionable. But of course there is that pesky "reasonable man" rule. I guess in these situations a reasonable man could see the problem so, once again, the rest of us have to pay for somebody else's stupidity.

ps, I couldn't figure out how to post a comment on the other site so I'm doing it here. A bit technologically challenged.

What's most interesting is the people that have the most responsibility in the financial crises are the ultimate supervisors of those that supposedly will prevent future problems. I'd think the most seriously mentally challenged would figure this out. Then again, I'd have said the same thing about voting for Obama. If the current administration reflects the common U.S. voter, we're in deep doo doo.

All these issues are just excuses for the Annointed one and the Statists to grab more and more power, period. The sheople will never learn until it's too late, and then it's too late. People simply don't believe in freedom and responsibility anymore, and I'm not sure that they ever have.

“to tamp down the kind of deceptive lending practices and complicated contracts he said often hurt consumers.” The very practices he and his fellow cohorts: Frank, Waters, Dodd, Reid, Kennedy and others forced upon those institutions and then claimed nothing was wrong.

The Obamas lived off credit cards before he landed a job as state senator and got her the 200K job. They both moved up when he went to the US senate and she moved up to a 300+K job with a community hospital which was created for her and restructured out when they moved to DC.

Obama's hubris is truly breathtaking.
