Democrat Carnahan Dismisses Black Man at Townhall

Yesterday, I attended a townhall meeting on healthcare with Representative Russ Carnahan, where he dissed this black constituent. For those of you unfamiliar with Missouri politics, the new breed of Carnahans are those who are riding the backs of their deceased father and former Democrat governor of Missouri, Mel Carnahan. Voting 100% of the time with Obama, Russ Carnahan has the distinction of being left of Massachusetts’s Barney Frank.

I must say that Carnahan was as nervous as taxpayer in a room full of liberals! The standing room only crowd obviously rattled him. Carnahan made little eye contact as he likely expected an echo chamber, recognizing instead that he was in Dante’s Inferno.

The crowd was split about 60-40 against him is my read, and that ratio is larger if you removed all the people who were helping at the event who last names begin with “Carnahan!” Many attendees were people with severe disabilities, and they were there for answers, not platitudes.

After speeches by the interim president and the Chancellor of St. Louis University, Carnahan pretty much read the Democrat Party talking points on socialize healthcare. He painting a pretty picture of the utopia that awaits us, if we just accept socialized healthcare. Read the rest here...

There seems to be a lot of Democrats looking down on blacks in the past few days. I guess Mr. Carnahan, like Mam Boxer, expects you to put your hand out and follow rather than think and speak.

I personally don't know much about Mel Carnahan as I lived in Chicago during his governorship and tragedy, but the Carnahan kids continue to come across as wrong for Missouri in my opinion.

Ha! I saw and embedded the video earlier today but didn't know it was you yelling out about Congress being on the plan. lol. You are such an 'uppity' black man. Just a disgrace to your race. btw - if you haven't heard about it there's a pledge being sent to Congress critters called the "Congressional Healthcare Equality Pledge". You can find it at cwan.org.

Good job Kevin and now I'll get a post and link up about your attendance and your book which I did read and thoroughly enjoy.

Perhaps the Dumbocrats think that they are firmly entrenched in Government, so they are becoming over confident thinking that they can dis their black constituents at will and not face a backlash. I hope black Americans prove them wrong.

I hear Carnahan got his ass booed off the stage...if not literally...than decibely. I'm still searching for the audio, but it was a thing of beauty to hear on the radio.

@Dr Dave - He did get booed off stage, and as soon as my server is back on line on my new site, you can check it out there. My web guy is looking into it!

Kevin, thanks for your shout out to Carnahan - “If it’s so good, why doesn’t Congress have to be on it?”
Your voice on the video/audio had the ring of one whose words I'm pretty sure I can trust. Thanks for speaking up for us.

I have seen a few townhall videos where a member of the audience stands up and brings out some really good points, and yours was one of the best. I have wanted that same question asked also, and you did it. Love it. If the health care plan is "so great", then all those in government jobs should have the same one. No preferences. Goes for Congress all the way up. If it's good enough for us, then it's good enough for them! Impeach The Crook In The White House!!!!!

FYI ALL: The server for my new blog was hacked, and it is being resolved today. Hang in there!

Time to rally the ACORN troops to get this bigot out of office!

Man what I would have paid to be in that room.

Thank you for asking the question we all are asking!

I loved that he did not even seem to notice that there were those who disagreed with him in the audience.

BTW, I like this format better than the one with the black background...it is difficult for thses old eyes to read.
