Obama’s Bizarro World
If you are like me, on November 4 you kept your promise that if the most unqualified person in the history of American politics was elected, you would pull an Alec Baldwin and leave America. Or more closer to the truth, America would leave you.
So like me, you awoke on November 5 completely relocated. It was the simplest move any of us have ever made, as there were no boxes, packaging materials, and so on. No moving trucks were needed. No breakage of family heirlooms or articles lost in the move. We all just awoke on November 5, and we were now citizens of Bizarro World.
Our transition to the new world was helped by the mainstream media, who informed us that we were now free to believe in hope and change, though we won't necessarily get anything. Gone was the reality of morality and accountability, replaced with nebulous notions and ethereal concepts, where we are free to contemplate the idea of "nothingness".
We also learned in Bizarro World, that the world we left was a world full of racists, bigots, warmongers, tax cheats, and well just a host of unethical creatures, who were "out to get us". Our new world would change all that, and we would be safe to pursue hope and change.
What I have noticed about the new world is that it is indeed dramatically different than the old world. Though there are still racists, bigots, warmongers, tax cheats, and a host of unethical creatures, they are now consider "the good guys". And now we are surrounded by "the bad guys", who I am told are the ordinary honest, hardworking taxpayers. I can't wait to see how the new world punishes these ordinary honest, hardworking taxpaying citizens!
Now that I am citizen of Bizarro World, I must tell you that I'm impressed with all the openness of the first Bizarro World administration, and Obama's performance in not keeping his promise for the "most ethical administration" in history. And he is off to a good start, as he is not keeping any of his promises. Bravo to the leader of Bizarro World!
As with all great Bizarro World unethical leaders, Obama stands by Daschle, the nation's latest exposed tax cheat, and rightfully so. The precedent was set with the appointment of the first tax cheat, Timothy Geithner who is now the head of Bizarro World's Treasury Department. And don't think that this will be limited to these two solid Bizarro World citizens. Who knows how many tax cheats will be exposed in future Obama appointments?
In Bizarro world flagrant violation of our tax system makes you a solid citizen, and elevates you to high positions in the government. Now the stupid ordinary hardworking taxpayers of Bizarro World are complaining. But we tell them in Bizarro World, "Don't let your logic and common sense and morality clutter your thinking."
Here's the wrap:
In Bizarro World it is ok to appoint lobbyists, even when you don't permit the appointment of lobbyists. Such is the Bizarro World way.
It takes a lot of money to run Bizarro World, so it is necessary to pass the largest deficit plan in history, in order to fund projects that will not contribute to Bizarro World's economy or well-being, thus bilking Bizarro World's honest, hardworking, taxpaying citizens.
After all, it is the destruction of Bizarro World that makes us citizens happy. We are fortunate to have such an incompetent leader for our president, and all his unethical appointments. Let's not put our hands over our heart to praise Bizarro World.
That's my rant!

Kevin I don't like Bizzaro World...how can I get out?
LOL! Another on just stepped down, Nancy Killefer, for less then 1k!
I want out too!
Lilith - You are stuck for at least 4 years. Let's not make it 8!

Bizarro world also appears to have about 75% of it's population believing that nothing is wrong with hipocracy as long as it is the new administration doing it. This is going to be a long 4 years.

I've had the pleasure of reading Kevin's stuff before. He is a gifted writer.
Tom Daschle is a perfect example of Bizarro World. Daschle was disgraced in Congress and forced to resign. I thought we heard the last of him. Bizarro World says no. Obama picked up Daschle, working a lobbyist, and decided this guy should be in charge of health and human services.
When Congress began their investigation they found Daschle avoided paying income taxes for years. He got a free car and driver, but that didn't occur to him the IRS might consider that income.
Daschle also had to amend and amended tax return because he failed to make Medicare and Medicaid payments for the driver, his employee. How can you possibly have enough on the ball, to run Health and Human Services, if you don't know to pay your employees Medicare and Medicaid contributions? This isn't an accident, it is a serious violation of law.
Tom Daschle is a tax evader, a tax cheat. And he is just the kind of guy who believes that he shouldn't have to pay taxes. Tom Daschle is above the law. The courts are liberal and expansive; congress believes the constitution is living and breathing, and the president has no control over his staff. This is rule by man not by law.
Sounds like Jimmy 'the red" Carter.

@Lilly - I have to "blog" I told you so, but there you go. Another one bites the dust!
@Jeff, you are now a Bizarroan! Get used to it!
Kevin, you must have read my mind, because every day for weeks now I've been saying that I feel like I am living in Bizarro World. It's amazingly frustrating to see all these double standards in play and the immense hypocrisy of the Dems. I feel like taking a nap...someone please wake me in 2012 when it's over!
(NJ-Woman)
I just heard on the news that Tom Daschle stepped down, unbelievable. Glenn Beck said on his program that American's way of living is over, we just don't know it yet. Well, some of us do and we don't like it, LOL. It just leave me shaking my head reading the news since the supreme one took the throne. Like a bad dream. Your post was right on as usual.
So eminent domain took over the entire United States. And our compensation for this will be socialized medicine! Under this reward, only certain people will be allowed to be born, due to the fact that those with disablities will "drain the system" for those who are more valuable. Of course this will all be legislated by those who don't pay their taxes ie democrats!). Yes, we are indeed living in Bizzaro Land. Wake me up when this crazy imenent domain is over!!
Daschle's crime goes beyond whether he knew what he owed or not. No, he also overstated charitable contributions. That is as slimy as it gets.
I was telling someone the other day, the best way to survive as a female in Bizarro World is not by hard work and dedication, but by purchasing a house you cannot afford and getting knocked up a few times. No offense to anyone intended, I'm making a joke. Hard work will not pay as much as a lack of responsibility will under Captain Bizarro.
Imagine if George W, or any other conservative person even attempt appointing someone with as shabby of past as we've only begun to see in this administration. As a former journalism student, even from a liberal program, it pains me to watch, read, and listen to Bizzaro World's media.
Hang on to your hats boys and girls, we've got a long 4 years ahead of us!
Hey Melissa! Glad to see you comment, and you are spot on!
2 Conservative - I'm just glad to see that 15 days in, Obama is already showcasing his naivete. And this is just in picking his cabinet. Wait until you see the rest of the "goodies" he brings!
Julie - I'm traveling, but got the word on Daschle. Too funny! I love it! More to come, I assure you!
Diane - Very creative!
Dave - I wrote about Daschle's ripping off charities. $15K of cheating over 3 years. That really shows how much he "loves" his money!
Two more observations in bizzaro world. First, the bizzaro thinking of the citizen to elect this obvious charatan that will bring us more of the same in exponential form (Carter on steroids) while defining the status quo as change and hope. I guess in bizzaro world, the change of the exponent of the status quo is the change that brings hope.
The other: in bizzaro world, the fighters of freedom are the terrorists and the terrorists are the freedom fighters.
4 years? Let's hope we're not introduced to bizzaro math were 4 years is really 40 years.
PS an observation of things to come. Denny's was giving free breakfasts today, and I didn't bothered considering who were the one's getting them and how long the wait. They weren't people that need to go to work and the lines where MASSIVE going out the door with a 2 to 3 hr wait. Remind me of the food lines in the Soviet Union. Is this a symbol of things to come? Is this economic stimulus in bizzaro world. Stay tuned next week on this station and find out.
Madmath1 - The Denny's lines comment was hysterical! Touche!

http://tinyurl.com/c3co5c Yet another Obama appointee with tax problems…
It makes me wonder why the one who took care of her problem 2 years ago and only owed $900 "stepped down on her own" and why Daschle and the guy who holds the keys to our printing press Timothy Geithner got to keep their jobs.

Well, fellows, I have now written TWO count 'em TWO letters to the White House, as well as numerous ones to my senators and representatives, telling them that Obama's lack of accountability, and his lack of holding others AROUND him accountable, are very telling qualities, spotlighting what kind of person, (and leader), he REALLY is! What happened to "No more business as usual in Washington"? And why are RICH DEMOCRATS above the tax laws, but not us? At least the NY Slime is commenting on it-- but what a revolting display this makes, to our people and to the WORLD, that we would even consider people who actually should be being prosecuted for tax fraud, to lead our country!
All these tax cheats and BO dares complains about the Bush tax cuts. In Bizzaro World, tax cheating is a tax cut. Why are the democrats cheating so much when it's supposely the Republicans that have all the money (when the Jacka$$ millionaires outnumber the Republican millionaire 2 to 1)? The clandistine is the transparent, and put in the blanks. My Gosh, I'm not going to get Bizzaro World out of my head now. I want my US citizenship back.
Nancy Killefer--Out
Tom Daschel--Out
Timothy Geithner-In
This in the Big "0"s own words..."New era of responsibility." Getting more Bizarre every day!
These are the same people who complain about "contractual" executive compensation and wish to install a maximum wage to go along with our minimum wage.
I thought that those commercials late in the election cycle asked voters "Do you want more of the same?" Because that is exactly what we are getting...Clinton's 3rd term.
RonB
@Ron, yes, the administration is calling exec packages "bonuses". I'd like to see who they get to run global organizations for $400K. Nobody worth a damn would take that job. To the Liberals that seems like a lot, but they are used to fighting for minimum wage!
President Obama’s appointments are NOT unethical. It’s just that the little folks are not capable of comprehending the subtle nuances of paying taxes.
@Chip - Yes, they are not unethical...in Bizarro World. And we all know that they were going to pay their taxes, even if they hadn't been appointed to high positions within the Federal government, right?! Perhaps they need to understand the subtle nuances are for the average American for NOT paying their taxes.
Oh, bless your heart! I found your blog through MommyLife and I am so glad she posted the link. My husband and I want our boys to grow up like you, and not identifying with the "poor me i'm black and oppressed so i'll just be a gangsta (or an unwed mom of 5)and not do anything with my life" attitude we see. OK, well maybe we want them to be *slightly* less irreverent. But oh well. :)
I am going to drive all my nutty liberal friend berzerk when I post the link to your blog on facebook. Hooray!
So, my first comment just mortified me. I definately do not want my boys to be unwed mom's of 5!!!!!
Hopefully you all know what I meant. That's what I get for trying to be gender-inclusive. :O
CappuccinoLife - Put that last cup away! I understood what you meant. And allow your boys to be irreverent!
I want you to drive Liberals crazy! It's amazing how they try to dance, when they learn the truth about their racist past, and their "nuttier than squirrel crap" ideas!
The media covered for this criminal for the 2 years he was running. They never wanted to go "off message". Now we are living in, thank you Kevin, Bizarro world... And today the NY Times, mildly questions whether this will tarnish him. Again, they don't really say it will, but how will people react to this. (Exactly how Ann Coulter described the media during the election). I feel like the inmates are running the asylum.
and a btw Kevin, at my husbands Public School, it seems the "in" thing is sporting these HUGE Barry buttons; barry and family, barry as POTUS,.....will this crap ever trickle down to the uninformed masses, and become part of the public story, like the hyperboles spread about GWB???? My husband imagines the repugnance he would face if he wore a George Bush pin!
Thanks for the laugh!!!!
If the election didn't drive you out of the country the intelligence level of the people now running it will.
500 Million Americans will lose their jobs!
Zubata
Will the last crook to leave the Capitol lock the door and mail the key to Pennsylvania Avenue? Thanks.
I love how the media suddenly is questioning Obama's decisions. Honestly, what did they expect, a new government like he was proposing. How naive are they? Are Hillary and Dashle a new government?
Can we buy some land from the US and start out own country? Kevin for president!
Laura Hazen
Laura - I accept your nomination, and I approve this message!
The problem is ever the same.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Annie - Obama is nowhere near the man that Bush is, and to say so is a slap in the face to Bush. Bush is not my favorite president, but I'd say the exchange rate is about 1 Bush for 10,000 Obamas "and change".
@Laura.....great idea....we need our own country...and since Kevin has "accepted nomination" we should be set.
