Obama on Stem Cell Research – Fool’s Gold

Obama's decision to lift the ban on stem cell research showcases his true core, and this reversal of a Bush policy should come as no surprise to anybody. Obama is pro-abortion, supporting even the most heinous form, that being partial-birth abortion. He blatantly disregards the weakest of humans, in order to protect the most vile. Perhaps he would care more if embryos could vote?

Here is what Obama said on the subject of embryonic stem cell research:

"Rather than furthering discovery, our government has forced what I believe is a false choice between sound science and moral values. In this case, I believe the two are not inconsistent. As a person of faith, I believe we are called to care for each other and work to ease human suffering."

A devout abortionist, Obama doesn't limit his disregard for human life at birth. So don't be fooled to believe that Obama is concerned with easing human suffering at any level, that is unless easing human suffering means to "throw away" those whom Liberals deem hopeless.

Certainly Obama has no true compassion for the very old. And why should he feel differently about people with mental and physical disabilities, such as muscular dystrophy, Down's Syndrome, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other illnesses that in effect make life a burden…not for them, but for society.

For Obama and his ilk, embryonic stem cell research is meant to "correct" these people; make them "right", and not in the political sense. Obama likely figures once you've survived the gauntlet of Democrat eugenic attempts at your life, you deserve a chance to actually vote someday.

What will experimentation on the most weak guarantee us in terms of our future health? Let's look to Obama's own comments for the answer:

"I cannot guarantee that we will find the treatments and cures we seek. No president can promise that...and with the urgency required to make up for lost ground…"

No guarantee for treatments and cures, but we need urgency (there's that word again) to make up for lost ground. The mind of an idiotic socialist. So what ground have we lost?

Back in 2007 there was breakthrough in stem cell research that isn't even being considered:

"Researchers have figured out how to reprogram adult cells into a state that is nearly indistinguishable from that of embryonic, pluripotent stem cells. This is huge news that promises to accelerate the pace of research in the field."

There appears to be no real need to use embryonic stem cells for this research, since the regular stem cells will do. And there were geometrically more stem cells made available under Bush, than Clinton.

Here's the wrap:

Obama's comment references him as being a person of faith. Obama used "faith" for one thing: To get elected. Political expediency. No true person of faith would support the barbaric acts that Obama favors. Period.

I know what faith is, and I can tell you without a doubt, that Obama's only faith is in himself. As I reported in past writings, Obama hasn't been to church since his election…oh, but he does shoot hoops on Sunday.

For the Jews, Protestants and Catholics, and other so-called evangelicals who voted for Obama, I find you despicable. You are the true sellouts. Because Obama is promoting and exporting an agenda of infanticide all over the world, and you turn a blind eye and apparently an unsmelling nose.

Well I for one smell the stench of yet another dung heap…plated in fool's gold.

That's my rant!

You are right about promoting agendas here. Embryonic stem cells was a top issue during the Bush administration. And many are not aware of the process of harvesting embryonic stem cells - inner cell mass of the blastocyst. We know all know that Obama will pass all pet issues that the Libs present. I was not surprised. He's rushing into every issue, no reading and passing or signing bill he has no knowledge of. I did a post on this same topic.

The Black Sphere said...

Great comment, emptysuit. I tried not to get too technical on the subject, but I assure you that Obama hasn't studied this at all. What a knucklehead!

Anonymous said...

Stem cells are found in the umbilical cord as well (which we get plenty of), but the point of embryonic stem cell research is abortion.

The Black Sphere said...

@Anon - Excellent point. The net is that they don't need to do anything with embryonic stem cells, and this is yet another attempt to disregard babies. There are more restrictions on animal research!

First he says, "Our government has forced what I believe is a false choice between sound science and moral values ... It is about ensuring that scientific data is never distorted or concealed to serve a political agenda — and that we make scientific decisions based on facts, not ideology".

Later on in the speech he says the the policy is designed so that it "never opens the door to the use of cloning for human reproduction." Such cloning, he said, "is dangerous, profoundly wrong, and has no place in our society or any society."

PROFOUNDLY WRONG???? Whose moral value is that? I thought we were relying on only science? I think it would be a good thing to have a couple of clones around for spare parts. Sounds like a fact to me, devoid of ideology or moral value.

Isn't that what we want?

I cannot believe people really think he's the smartest person in the room.

The Black Sphere said...

ElCee, if Obama was in a room full of people with lobotomies, he wouldn't be the smartest guy in the room!

The Pondering Catholic said...

Let's not forget what Obama does not know. Recently he said, he would support stem cell research, but not cloning! He needs to take a few moments to learn what stem cell research is all about. There is not a single person out there, just researching the cell. They are destroying them, and making clones! This is happening already, at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Someone needs to direct them to UW-M and meet the scientists who are already cloning. It is on their website, so it is not like they are hiding this! What a fool! He amazes me with what he does not know! Ignorance is not an excuse. He is just plain uninformed and STUPID! Okay, I am in a mood today, and I was not very nice, but that felt good to say! :) Cuz it is TRUE!

it is amazing to see so many Democratic Partisans go wild over this effort, ignoring the numerous, vapid contradictions, as well as ignore the massive Lobby effort behind this 'change':

here is another related - reacting to the unattractive nature in which this was handled:
"Obama's address was morally unserious in the extreme. It was populated, as his didactic discourses always are, with a forest of straw men. Such as his admonition that we must resist the "false choice between sound science and moral values." Yet, exactly 2 minutes and 12 seconds later he went on to declare that he would never open the door to the "use of cloning for human reproduction."

The idea that embryonic stem cell research is the equivalent of murder is absurd.

They're a collection of cells, a few cells wide. They have no brain, no nervous system. They cannot feel pleasure or pain. They have no bones or organs or body parts. They're hardly more human than a sperm or egg cell.

Now, I get that some people believe that these cells are human because they have souls, that life begins at conception, etc., etc. But if that were true, why do such people have no problem with fertility treatments in which dozens of leftover embryos are either discarded or frozen indefinitely? Why is it only when we try to use these cells for good that they cry foul? I mean, throw an embryo in the garbage = meh. Use it to cure Parkinson's Disease = MURDER. That makes no sense.

FTA - "Rather than furthering discovery, our government has forced what I believe is a false choice between sound science and moral values."

In other words ~ I have no moral values so screw it and lets get on with the science.

FTA - "As a person of faith,"

A person of faith has moral values, so since hes shown he has none how can he be a person of faith.

He did with this just as he is doing with everything else. He's making it a taxpayer funded thing. They could do all the research they wanted to do before, as long as they used their own money. Now watch the research costs soar, since we're paying for it. He makes me sick to my stomach every time I see him open his lying mouth.

just wrote a paper on stem cell research...embryonic stem cell research isn't just immoral, it's a waste of tax payer money...the true benefits of it are actually very small and the liberal media makes it seem better and more impacting than it really is...were at least another 20-30 years away from seeing substantial benefits from stem cell research, but the liberal biased media won't say that of course....stem cell search is just another mainstream science that scientists really don't even know that much about (example: global warming, stem cell research)

The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit. Proverbs 16:1-2

Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, "Behold, we did not know this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work? Proverbs 24:11-12

Keep polishing this gold plated heap of dung and you will get Dr. Frankenstein.

If you can get stem cells through more humane means then why the reversal of the policy. And if we think that this kind of research will not result in human cloning then all you have to do is look at what the purpose of the stem cells are in the first place, i.e. replacing defective cells.

Kevin- When I learned that NoBama was for partial-birth abortion I knew then there is no way I would ever sellout my vote to this man. Any and everyone who agrees with partial-birth abortion is a monster!

Love the comment "if Obama was in a room full of people with lobotomies, he wouldn't be the smartest guy in the room!"

(big laugh!) HA!

Tough subject.... wrong action on behalf of NoBama in my opinion... just one of many to come I am afraid....

If President Obummer could somehow count the babies to be butchered as Democrats in his Census takeover, he would be giving them a bailout check instead of having them ripped limb-to-limb.

The Black Sphere said...

Hey Matt, thanks for the visit. Yes Obama on has concern for terrorist, not innocent babies. What is ya...ignant?!

Just John said...

I just love how Dems will accuse Bush of "outlawing" the research, when the research is not, and never has been, against the law. He simply blocked federal funding for it.

I wonder if those embryos will be counted as Democrat votes in the next election? If the dead can vote, why not the aborted?

As a previous commenter stated, the spending on this boondoggle will climb into the stratosphere as Hollyweird mouthpieces get behind it. (if Streisand and her ilk are for it, it must be good!).

I hate to use a slippery slope argument, but I believe this will lead to embryo "farms" where fetuses will be grown for the sake of "harvesting" their byproducts.

Remember when he was asked about this issue during the campaign? He didn't hide it. He referred that he wouldn't want his daughters, and I'm not making this up, be punished with a baby. Since he view his own potential GRANDCHILDREN to be punishments that need to be eradicated, why be surprised over using them for medical experimentation? This is the pinnicle of evil.

My wife worked in China and they use adult stem cells from the patients because they're more stable and the body won't reject them. They gave up on the embrotic cells a long time ago even though they have plenty with the one child per family law (all those over 1 are aborted). With this out and out communist in office, I fear what's next. Is America too white? Too Male?

Eugentics was the love child of the Nazi's and now we have the biggest supporter of eugentics in office and by the party that controls congress. All to ease 'human' suffering. Well, if a man doesn't consider his own blood, his own grandchildren, as human, then what does he think of the rest of us?

I think we should believe in retroactive abortions - maybe applicable for certain 40 something elected officals named BHo & cronies!

What does it matter if we extend the amount of months we can abort them at? Maybe at about 544 months (44+ years)?

The Black Sphere said...

@madmath1 - What a great comment, about Obama's thoughts about his own grandchildren. Evil man, he is...

@pops1911 - I agree, retroactive abortions could be useful. Funny how it's not considered murder?

Well said! Well said! The bigger problem than Obama that we all face are the people who are supposed to be on our side who accommodate him, made him possible and laid the path for him to take power. I'd broaden your remarks here to include all the limp-wristed RINOs that through their actions (and inaction) of many years made Obama possible in the first place, including McLame.

They will probably re-route money from adult stem cell research which has shown some promise along with tax payers money to pay for this. Pretty soon you will be able to sell your cells for a few bucks right beside the place you sell plasma.

It just keeps getting worse and worse.

Unfortunately, as someone who suffers from Chronic Fatigue & Immune Dysfunction Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, I guess under Obama's watch, I will soon be getting a letter from the Health Department telling me they would gladly pay for my "early termination/suicide."

What a sad essay on our new President.

One quick question....if I may.

If we have studies that prove adult stem cells work ... why not use them?

Anonymous said...

"No true person of faith would support the barbaric acts that Obama favors."

I wish those people who voted for Obama and call themselves Christians, would stop calling themselves Christians!
NO true Christian would vote for someone who believes in killing the unborn should be a choice.
About 80% of Americans call themselves Christian. If that was the case the most votes Obama should have gotten is 20%.
This is mind boggling to me!! How can someone who believes in Jesus Christ vote for someone like Obama, in good conscience?

I would like to add that I have Multiple Sclerosis. I would NEVER want others to suffer to find a cure so I could live a little longer. What would I have to gain? A little longer life, but then what would God say to me when I am being judged? I think the suffering of others to help myself is VERY selfish!!
I want to meet God in good conscience.

He is doing so much damage to this country it makes my head spin. The $410b bill states it will end vouchers in 2010 in Washington DC. Affecting over 1700 students in which nearly 100% of them are black.
What happened to a brother being in the White House.
He is rescinding the Conscience Clause which Bush signed to protect pro-life health care workers and now this.
I am just waiting on him to sign FOCA which will lift all restrictions and bans, both state and federal allowing abortion on demand. We all know who is affected most by abortion.
This brotha is doing a lot for us in the White House.

Again, you're spot on target. If the USAF was as accurate we'd have nailed more baddo's without incurring any collateral damage.

The tragedy is abortion is promoted by as "choice" and "family planning" but is really genocide foisted onto ethnic minorities by the liberalati. So called "progressive" people of faith are endorsing murder when supporting abortion "rights" granted as the result of perjury committed during Roe v. Wade.

Thank you for your rants.

There is no ban on embryonic stem cell research for President Obama to lift. When Bush provided federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, which no President had done before him, he restricted what research that funding could be used for. He did not ban embryonic stem cell research.
